University = Choices + Choices + Choices + Money Issues + Parents + ?!?!?!?!?!?
I planned to go into engineering. I planned to graduate and maybe do a graduate degree. I planned to work in the engineering field as it's easier to get a job as a female. I planned, I planned, I planned.
But guess what? God had other plans. Not only did I not get into the program I wanted at a certain university, I realized I applied to the wrong campus of my alternate choice, and the program I did get into, I didn't know if I wanted to go into it! God gave me a few good whacks in the head and pointed the bat into the direction of my future. I can plan all I want, but ultimately, it's God who decides. Nothing will ever go in our ways; it will always go in God's way. It took me a while to realize it, and experience it. Obviously these things people can tell you, but it means nothing until you actually go through with it.
"Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun. Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret -it leads only to evil." [Psalm 37:5-8]
God will do a lot of things that aren't in our plan, but we have to commit everything to him. Although I got angry, although I wasn't patient, although I fretted, God will ultimately make our paths straight. He was patient with me, and now I have to be patient for him and in his plan.

A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps. —Proverbs 16:9
