When two opposing sides go to war, the one with the largest number of soldiers are usually the victor in the minds of the strategist. Numbers usually determine the winner, or so the Midian's thought. The Lord said told Gideon that he had too many soldiers for the Lord to deliver the Midians into their hands. In order to reduce them, the Lord cut his arm from 32,000 to only 300. Only 300 men! Against an army of 100,000!
In our walk with God, sometimes numbers may not mean anything. Just like a large army, too much financial support may lead us to depend on that instead of God. Whether it's financial, physical, or intellectual, sometimes too much of one thing leads to to depend on that manifestation that we stray away from the Lord. And when we have too little, we think, "Impossible! God can never use so little to help me." You may think that more is safer, but when we have little, it's not a punishment, but a blessing.

When God gives us an impossible task-it becomes possible.
