When I was younger, one of the hardest thing for me to see was others to succeed. I was so used to being at the top of the class, the smartest one, the brightest kid that would understand everything, that when I saw others do better than me, succeed more than me, or receive something better than what I had, I would become envious. But that's the old me. The before-Christ-entered-my-life me.
"Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others." [Philippians 2:4]
When God works in our lives, it's a joyful thing. We see how God uses us to affect others and encourage one another. But when God works in other people's lives, that same joy should be expressed. We should be truthfully rejoicing when a brother or sister succeed, or do well in something, instead of being jealous or envious at what we don't have. Instead, look at what the Lord has blessed us with, and the success that we do have. Heck, you being able to read this makes you richer than almost 80% of the world! How truly blessed are you?! The fact that you're not struggling for every breath is already a blessing enough, and we should just rejoice because of that. We need to look out for the interest of others, rejoicing in the blessings the Lord has given them and help them in their spiritual journey, encouraging them in love. One of the most encouraging thing a brother as told me is that, "Because of you, I am the Christian I am today." He rejoiced when I rejoiced, and shared the sorrows I had. Lets look out for each other's interests.

A life filled with love for the Lord and for others is a fulfilling life.
