In six words, right your life biography. Just six words.
I tried this exercise, and wrote, "Saved by God; free of sin."
Obviously everyone's six-word biography would be different, but have you thought about what some of the biblical individuals who lived six-word biography? This devotion gave a few examples:
- David: "A man after my own heart" (1 Sam.13:14, Acts 13:22)
- Paul: "Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ" (Ephesians 1:1)
- Timothy: "A true son in the faith" (1 Timothy 1:2)
As you read these individuals biography, have you thought about what Jesus' six-word biography would be? Try looking at John 1:14, which states, "Became flesh and made his dwelling." A lot of the time, it's incredibly hard for me to imagine giving up everything comfortable in life and living as a homeless individual, or starving in Africa, only to be constantly rejected and despised. Then try dying the most gruesome death in the history of mankind, suffering for hours. I can't imagine the love Jesus had, but he loves us so much, he did all that...just for you and me.
If you asked someone to give you a six-word biography, what would it be? "Not an easy person to love" or "A shining light for Jesus Christ?"
