In This Very Room

John 20:19-29

I know that I haven't been blogging my devotions lately, but I have been doing them, just not blogging. It's been one of the hardest week of my life, and after a conversation with someone on Friday, I felt like it was a slap in the face on top of that week. And then I broke down Friday... It was so hard for me, but the Lord truly bent down, wiped the tears streaming down my face and told me, "Child, get back up, know that I love you." My AGAPE family truly is a blessing in my life. <3

In this passage, we see that despite the fact the room is locked, Jesus randomly appeared. Ummm...magic?! Think about it. You're in this room, which is clearly locked, with a bunch of your friends, since there's a bunch of people angry at you outside, when suddenly, Jesus appears out of nowhere. That's....kind of scary, don't you think. Then next week, it happens again since someone didn't believe them! It truly goes to show the glory of the Lord; He's everywhere.

Sometimes when I pray, I think of me talking to the sky, telling the great judge how I am. But in reality, sometimes God is just right beside me, listening, not above me! He's in the car I'm driving, he's near me when I eat, heck, he's right beside me right now! And this is so comforting knowing he's never gone. Sometimes we think Jesus is not with us; that he abandoned us and that he stopped caring. But no! He's literally right here with us, and all we're doing is looking in the wrong direction. He's in this very room!

Our loving God is always near-forever by our side.
