Have you ever read the book as a child about the caterpillar that kept eating through the leaves? It was a flip book and each new page had a different hole that the caterpillar ate through. In real life, we may see a broken leaf with holes, but it may also be a work of art; beautiful in every way. What makes this leaf beautiful is the soft glow of light that shines through it, and when we compare it, we realize that it is like our lives.
Sin eats at us; it causes holes and destruction, but it is only when we let God's light shines through is it truly a work of art. Think about it; no matter how bad we've screwed up in life, or no matter how sinful we are, God's like can transform us; his light can shine through anything sin eats through.

God doesn’t remove all of our imperfections, but He makes us beautiful by shining through them.
